The 27-year-old, who played for Al-Hilal in Egypt, is expected to join the club on a permanent basis after his move to Qatar SC.
Afkif, who previously played for clubs such as Al-Ahly and Al-Ittihad, made a successful debut for Qatar SC in their last match against Al-Shabab, where he saved five goals.
He will be supported by experienced goalkeeper Hadi Al-Dhihi,Campeonato Brasileiro Action who was also signed on loan from Al-Fateh.
